I have here my final and finished drafts of my front cover, contents page and my double page spread

Double Page Spread

Here is my double page spread.

Having done my double page research, I decided to combined the layout of this pages i have research, this is so that my double page spread will hopefully have a USP.

I didn't want to add too many images to it otherwise my page will look too clustered and unprofessional as it would be difficult to see what is going on on the page.

I also didn't want to add too many "pop ups" because this double page is to entertain not to inform.

I enjoyed producing my double page spread as it gave me the chance to do some creative writing, I also enjoyed it because it allowed me to work on a big central image as i was unable to do so as my front cover did not focus on one central image.

Music Magazine Sales Decline

Over the last couple of years, music magazine sales have been declined.  the reason for this is the industry of digital music.  Some of the most successful music magazines are suffering up to 14.2% of its circulation year on year.  However, Fly magazine, a free monthly music magzine, consolidated its position as the UKs No 1 music title.  With a 0.2% rise in distrubution to 100,574.  and he Stool Pigeon, another monthly free magazine posted a circulation of 53,676, almost double that of NME.

As music magazine sales decline, difital music is rising quickly.  this is because of the internet.  Some magazines have used the internet to its advantage as they have created a form of digital subscription including Apple editions and interactive magazines.  Some has even created codes on magazines for readers to then unlock online for extra content.

Music industry as a while, has beeen decreasing, and they hope that the digital sales will make up for the short decrease.  ( This informtion was taken from the Guardian)

 

Because of this terrible decline in sales of music magazine.  I decided to make my magazine go viral.  And have a website which will be updated daily so the data will be the newest news.  And also if readers subscribe, they will get a free album, and they will get a free soundtrack once every two weeks.  Hopefully this will attract readers to subscribe as they will have something in return.

Finish Pieces

Like my contents page, i decided to make onbe last edit to it, and i decided to make the theme of simply black and white. and o i edited the images so they're black and white, and made them to high contrast so that it would seem more interesting and attract more attention.

I decided to change my contents page again, Because the front cover is black, I decided to change my front cover to black again, and so it would match the front cover

So here are my final drafts of my front cover and my contents page, before the finishing touches. 

Contents idea

Because my front cover will be styles as grids, i am plannig to keep a similar style with the contents page, and so my pictures in my contents page will be in blocks. 

Here is my layout of my contents page, where the plain blocks are, will be where my photos are placed.  the colour will be changed as to whatever colour my models will be wearing.

Front Cover Ideas

I had a couple of ideas for my magazine covers, and most of them were inspired by Clash Magzines.  this was because many of the clash magzine front covers look like posters, they dont have much, if any text.  and so Iwanted to do something different and original just liek them magazines.

This was my first idea of a magazine cover, I liked how it was all black and white, and the main image was a different colour, to attract attention. 

This was my second idea, and the one I will use as my final front cover, i like this one because its fun, and different.  I also enjoyed taking the photos for this idea because facial expressions can not be wrong, and outift does not matter.

But, this ill be my layout plan, as i need to take more better photos.
